Nash Top Rod Arousers

This week I’ve been looking at Nash Top Rod Arousers. I received 4x 250ml bottles of Amber Strawberry, Sweetcorn ‘N’ Hemp, Halibut ‘N’ Squid and IC-1. These liquids are great for squirting in groundbait, on boilies or for stick/bag work. I was very impressed with the smell and Nash state they contain a range of fish feed triggers, inducers and attractors blended with Nashbait’s top carp catching essences. At £4.99 a bottle I reckon they are excellent value for money and could really give you an edge

Nash Mutants
 I’ve been a great fan if imitation baits for years now since the relentless crayfish invasion on my local Grand Union Canal and River Great Ouse. I particularly like the Nash Mutant range as they cover pretty much all of my angling needs with a great selection of boilies, sweetcorn, maize, maggots and pellets to choose from. They are soft enough to be mounted on a hair and will readily absorb flavours. They are designed that a hook will sink them but put a couple together and you have a great pop-up bait. If you are fishing any water where crayfish or nuisance fish are a problem then give Nash Mutants a go.

Nash No Spook Rig Tube

 I have been using tubing for years instead of leadcore but this tungsten rig tubing from Nash really gave me an edge and upped my catch rate. Unlike other tubing this is very supple and very heavy so literally hugs the contours of the bottom. For best results I like to fish it ‘slack-line’ style.
 There is a Nash Tube Threader also available but I found that my 15lb bs line could be threaded through with ease.

Nash Hi Glow Pop Ups
  These hi attract, super buoyant 10mm pop ups are ideal during the winter months and my friends fishing the canal today were making good use of them on what was a very cold November day taking two double figure fish when standard bottom baits were being ignored.

Nash Knot Loc Glue  
 I've been using rig glue for years and this is as good as any I've tried. I find it particularly useful when fishing waters with imitation baits as a blob of glue on the hair stop will prevent most crayfish from leaving you fishing with no bait. It is recommended that all knots are also glued so this quick setting glue has lots of applications. Cost £3.99.

Nash Fish Frenzy Hookable Pellets
  These neon soft hookable pellets come in 6mm and 8mm sizes.
 Ideal for when carp are wary of larger round baits. I’ve had success with these fishing for my local canal carp to mid doubles as well as catching lots of tench and bream from nearby lakes.   
 The great thing about these pellets is that they come in strong small tubs that don’t take up much room in your tackle bag or box so its always worth keeping a couple of tubs with you at all times.

 Nash Soluballs

 This week I've been reviewing Nash Soluballs which Nash say ‘dissolve in a few minutes in your swim to produce a carpet of food particles, providing an appetising break down of food signals that will attract carp from long distances, triggering them to feed without filling them up (as could be the case if you fed with boilies alone)’.
 They certainly look and smell great so I got a glass of pond water (16 c) to test what would happen. The photos were taken over a 15 minute period and whilst the soluballs did break down they did so rather slower than I had anticipated.
 This aside they are in my opinion brilliant and at £3.99 for a 750g bag they should be part of most anglers bait armoury



            

Nash Fish Frenzy Feed Pellets

 As someone who carp and pole fishes I found these pellets to be right up my street. Great for bag work when carping but equally effective when pole fishing my local lakes and canal with bream, tench and roach a plenty being caught over them.

Nash Fang X

 I received a pack of the Nash Fang X hooks and straight away you notice they are packed unlike no other hooks on the shelf. Stored in a plastic holder each hook is secured as to avoid movement and possibility of blunting the hook on another hook before use. As is very well publicised these days a sharp hook can be more than a edge its vital in every fishing situation and by storing the hooks in such a way ensures you can be confident with every hook out of the packet. As well as that Nash have also researched and utilise the latest technology by providing a low friction coating on each hook to increase hook strength durability and hook sharpness. •Nash have not stopped there they have gone the extra mile and designed a range of hooks each one designed to maximise and specialise in any fishing situation. 
   The hook has a curved shank which and a turned eye which helps with strength and particularly good design for turning and catching hold within a fishes mouth. I used this hook to great effect on a blow back set up with both bottom baits, pop ups and critically balanced.
